It's the end of the world as we know it....
...but, God is still on His throne, so I feel fine. You know, I was talking to Jake earlier tonight, and I mentioned that Obama was probably going to win, which vexed my dear oldest son greatly. He was visibly upset by this news, and I felt I needed to talk about how we're all Americans and that no matter who wins, a whole bunch of people are disappointed and that all of those disappointed people need to support the new president anyway, since he is our leader. I realized as I said it, that, yeah, I believe all that, and I will try to support Obama as my president, although I feel his moral fibre is as weak as that of a cheap silk shirt from the farmer's market. I then told them that what we can do as christians is to pray that God will change his heart, that he will have a life-changing moment in which his eyes are opened to the truth and he sees life as the precious gift from our creator that it is. God can do it for a murderous convict, He can certainly do it for the most liberal congressman in these United States. And that is what I will do going forward. I will pray each day for Barack Obama, that he will become the kind of moral, christian, life-affirming president that we need. He may not be on the right side now, but God can do anything, and God is still on the throne.

I really do love you, Jess. Your putting that song up made me laugh out loud. I mean, I agree with you. This is it. I never would have guessed he'd win w/that kind of margin. And the democrats definitely have power enough to push thru whatever they want. Yeah, whether I didn't like Sarah Palin or John McCain or not, the kind of worship I just witnessed on t.v. in Times Square and Chicago scares the heck out of me. It doesn't bode well.
And what I mean by "this is it" is that, yeah, I think we might be witnessing the rise of Antichrist within this very generation. I still can't believe it could be true, but after what I just saw, I think it probably is.
Well this has lifted my spirits,Jess. You are of course right.God is in control and can do all things...no matter how impossible. We must always look forward and now ..more than ever..be a beacon to others....I love you baby...mom
And no, by the way, I don't repudiate my earlier arguments. I still think helping the poor is important and that George W. should have done something about the abortion thing already and that Palin is not that bright and that McCain is not really a christian and wouldn't have been good for the country either. I also think the Repub. party has a lot of stuff in its platforms that need to go.
I just also am now thinking this guy is the real deal and we're entering the end times. I was waiting to see whether he won and by how much. Yeah, this was convincing.
